Hi! I'm Scott and I get to play rock and roll and try to wake you up every morning. Radio is something I wanted to do since I was 7 and at 14 I had my FCC license in hand ready to "play the hits". My radio path took me all over until August 10, 1992 when I cracked the mic for the first time at Y-102 and introduced Michael Jackson. Yes, we played him back then.
When not on the air I am a system engineer, play with the latest tech and try hard to find the perfect way to bbq and smoke pork. I'm always up to hear what works for you!
I not only endorse Outten County Chrysler I'm also a long time customer! Check out Outten's current inventory and deals.
When our engineer Troy shared these photos with me I begged him to let me post them! If you look at Neversink mountain you will see a tower stretching 400 feet into the air - that's us! We broadcast from the top of that tower 24/7. We have to bring in a special crew to do maintenance on the tower itself as we aren't allowed to climb it :(
The geek in me says: imagine the number of lightening strikes this hunk of metal gets every year, how much ice, how much wind! It takes a beating year round!
The fine tower crew was kind enough to share the pictures they took the other day while doing some work. Enjoy the view of Reading at 400 feet!
Looking down from the top of the tower
Looking up at the very top... 400 feet!
Reading looks pretty cool from up there!
Thats not a hand, but part of the antenna that sends out the radio waves
